In 2020, the Fulcrum Team experienced a loss unlike any other. Erin Richman, daughter of Scott and Diane, sister of Sam and Katie, and niece of Todd, passed away from a short but downright courageous battle with cancer. Even though it has been five years since we lost Erin, we vividly remember Scott’s response: Erin wanted not to be remembered for her illness, but for the memories made while living her best life with her favorite people. So, gather with good friends, raise a glass of something delicious, tell stories, laugh until your cheeks hurt, go for a long drive with the windows down and the music blaring, snuggle up at home with sushi or charcuterie, and tell a friend you love them.

When asked about donations in Erin’s honor, the Richman family said they know that Erin would have been extremely touched to contribute in some way to the advancement of cancer research. The Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) played a role in Erin’s journey, and it is in honor of that, and in memory of Erin and her love for all things Halloween, that Fulcrum pledges to host a fundraiser event each year.

For our 2024 Halloween fundraiser, we’re excited to bring even more Halloween spirit to the cause with our witch-themed 9th Annual Chili Cook-Off! Highlighting the fierce competition and culinary talent of Fulcrum employees, this event promises fun, food, and of course, fundraising. For our 5th year of raising funds, we’ve set a $6,500 goal for HCI. Combined with the nearly $32,000 we’ve already raised since 2020, meeting this goal would mean a total contribution of $38,500 for the advancement of cancer research!
