Biomerics Helps Beat Breast Cancer
My name is Julie Sessions. I am a mom, wife, and grandmother, and I have invasive ductal carcinoma, grade 3. This is the most aggressive form of breast cancer. When I discovered I had cancer five months ago, the entire day was spent praying that God would preserve my life to raise my nine children, including a 6-year-old, and that I would hopefully be here to nurture many grandchildren in the future. I have spent every morning and night since on my knees pleading for God’s help through this battle with cancer. I know and have felt that prayers are being answered and that the Lord is helping and blessing our family.
Last month as I walked down the hall of Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, I was overcome with gratitude for the kind and thorough care I received. A few steps down the hall, I noticed several plaques of people who had donated to the renowned institute that has blessed countless lives. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I silently thanked Jon and Karen Huntsman for donating nearly 30 years ago to build the cancer center that was working to save my life and that of many others. I wondered what I could do to help.
When Biomerics called later to say that there would be a fundraiser in my name to benefit Huntsman Cancer Institute, I cried many more tears of gratitude! Being treated at Huntsman answers my prayers and the prayers of many who have prayed for our family. Thank you with all my heart for your prayers and contributions on my behalf.
