Kim Rathke was a force for joy in the world, sharing her irrepressible energy with her family, students, co-workers, and any passers-by swept up in the moment. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, colleague, balloon crew chief, camp chef, and left-hander.

Her beaming smile and "Hi sweetie!" or "Hi pal!" are going to be missed by all.

Huntsman Cancer Institute provided her phenomenal care in the face of a brutal disease. In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to Huntsman Cancer Foundation to help them continue to provide amazing care and hopefully, one day in the future, eliminate the need for such care in the first place.
