Tom passed away on Sep. 18, 2023, in Salt Lake City, UT. A Celebration of Life will be at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church of North Salt Lake on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Born August 28, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio to Bernard and Elaine Marschner, Tom graduated from Colorado State University as well as graduated from the first class of Univ. of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Tom was a Dentist for over 40 years in the Denver area and worked several years in underserved communities. Tom was an avid skier and hiker in his beloved Colorado mountains. He fostered his children’s interest in swimming, diving, and gymnastics. He retired to Montrose, CO enjoying sports and gardening; he was active in his church.

Tom married LaJoyce Chase on June 27, 2014. They traveled extensively together. Tom is survived by his spouse, LaJoyce Marschner. Survivors include daughters, Christina Knight of Castle Rock, Pamela Marschner of Franktown, and Rebecca Johnson of Eagle, all of Colorado; and son, Richard Marschner of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by sisters Mary Vlassis of La Jolla, California, and Barbara Boyd of San Diego, California, and Victoria Marschner of Boulder, Colorado; brothers Bernard Marschner of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Frederick Marschner of Nashville, Tennessee; and 9 grandchildren.
