Huntsman Challenge FAQS

We have answers to all your questions! If you can’t find the answers here please email sigmachi@huntsmanfoundation.org or give us a call at 801-584-5800.

Where does the money go?

100% of all funds raised go to support research for all types of cancers at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. By funding efforts to better understand the beginnings of cancer and more effectively treat cancer, you help relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors, and their families when you give.

Are gifts made through the Huntsman Challenge website tax deductible?

Huntsman Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. All donors will receive an emailed receipt at the time of their gift. If you do not get an email, check your spam folder, then contact us at sigmachi@huntsmanfoundation.org.

Can alumni participate in the Huntsman Challenge?

Any alumni can join in their undergraduate chapter’s team, or start their own for their alumni chapter. To start a new team separate from the chapters found on the school (link to school page) page, contact us at sigmachi@huntsmanfoundation.org.

How can chapters submit funds from special events outside of the Huntsman Challenge website?

Two ways. You can submit them directly onto your university or team page via credit card. Or you mail in a check to Huntsman Cancer Foundation 500 Huntsman Way Salt Lake City, UT 84048

When are donations due to count toward this school year, or to be eligible for the Huntsman Retreat of Excellence (20K, 50K, and 100K Clubs)?

In order to attend the Huntsman Retreat of Excellence, all chapters must submit their money by May 15th. We know there are always exceptions and things come up, so if you have any events after May 15th or need more time just let us know.
