Getting Started

STEP ONE - SET UP YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE

Your personal page is a great way to let people know why you are fundraising for cancer research. Are you participating in honor of a friend or family member? Or for you yourself?  Add your story, your goal and photos or a video.

STEP TWO - WRITE YOUR EMAIL OR TEXT MESSAGE

Personally asking someone for a donation is one of the most successful  ways to fundraise. 90% of all donations through indivdual fundraising efforts are made because of direct asks.  We have created three different letter examples to help you write your own email. Feel free to personaize these letters for your needs, or use them as inspiration to create your own message.  Sending a personal text is a good alternative to an email.

STEP FIVE - THANK YOUR DONORS

Please be sure to thank your donors by writing them a personal thank you card or email. Most people do this right away as well as sending them an update after your event of how much you were able to raise with their help and how you did in your event. Other ways to thank your donors include making them homemade goodies, inviting them to your event, holding a donor dinner in their honor at your home, etc. That is it!
