ABOUT PARK CITY POWDERFEST

MISSON | MOUNTAIN | MUSIC

PARK CITY POWDERFEST EVENT DETAILS

When: Saturday, March 11, 2023
Where: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain

You can ski and snowboard all winter long, but only one day a year can you hit the slopes surrounded by an amazing, cancer-fighting community and the inspiring atmosphere that is Park City PowderFest. This day on the mountain is dedicated to conquering more than just the slopes and having fun, but also conquering cancer by supporting the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI).

This event includes a DJ, live music, and hundreds of skiers and snowboarders that are encouraged to wear over-the-top costumes in conjunction with the cancer they support. You could wear a yellow banana suit in support of children's cancers, toss on a pink boa in support of breast cancer, or even bring out your inner wild side and dress up in zebra stripes to support neuroendocrine and rare cancers - the possibilities are endless!

Not a skier or snowboarder? No problem! You can après at the base, grab a yummy bite, and join us starting at 3 pm for a special Spring Grüv concert featuring Element 47, who is dedicating its concert that day to creating a cancer-free future. However you choose to participate, we are excited to have you join us to make a difference!

Join us for a day of giving and let's make a difference together! When you register for Park City PowderFest, you are able to ask friends and family members to donate to your personal fundraising page where 100% of the donations go to support the mission of HCI. Cancer affects everyone, and every dollar makes a difference!

WHERE DID ALL OF THE PINK GO?

The last two years of the pandemic have brought about a lot of change in every industry and non-profits saw its ups and downs. One thing that remained the same was that cancer diagnoses still happen and we hold to the goal of eradicating ALL cancers. For this purpose, we've teamed up with great companies that wanted to see this event return. We want the MISSON of Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) to be front and center. We are raising funds to eradicate cancer starting here at our world-class cancer center. We want to enjoy the amazing MOUNTAINS that we are so lucky to have all around us. And we want to celebrate YOU and the change you're helping to bring about in the lives of cancer patients through MUSIC. And Park City PowderFest - MISSON | MOUNTAIN | MUSIC was born!

The History of Park City PowderFest - The first pink ski day started at Vail Mountain in 2012. Pink Vail started as a fundraising event to specifically support breast cancer, specifically but grew to support all cancer types at Shaw Cancer Center in Vail, Colorado. In 2018, Pink Park City began and helped grow the mission that Pink Vail started -- eradicating cancer. Pink Park City supported research for ALL types of cancer by raising money for Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. Now in 2023, Pink Park City has made the shift to Park City PowderFest. Participants and donors even have the opportunity to restrict their funds to support research for a specific type of cancer.
