Huntsman Cancer Foundation's (HCF) sole purpose is to raise funds to support the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). Thanks to the ongoing generosity of the Jon M. Huntsman Family, 100% of funds raised further the treatment, education and research being conducted at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

With management of the Utah Population Database (UPDB), Huntsman Cancer Institute houses the world’s largest repository of health and genealogic records in the world.  More genetic mutations for inherited cancers have been discovered at Huntsman Cancer Institute than anywhere else in the world.  The genes for breast, ovarian, melanoma, head and neck cancer, colon cancer, and more, all discovered here.

We stand on the precipice of the breakthroughs that will radically change cancer treatment and eventually prevent cancer altogether. Researchers and doctors at Huntsman Cancer Institute are at the forefront of new discoveries in the genetic risks of cancer and better ways to treat and prevent cancer from occurring.

Honors & Awards

Huntsman Cancer Institute is the only National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Mountain West. This means we meet the highest national standards for cancer care and research and receives support for our scientific endeavors.

HCI is also a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), a not-for-profit alliance of the world’s leading cancer centers. NCCN members write best practice standards for cancer care that are used around the world.
