I began a job as an aide on the Huntsman Cancer Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant unit in February 2024, and at the beginning of my tenure at this job, I promised myself that I would "say yes more often." Here I am- jumping out of my comfort zone and saying yes to competing in a 5K! (I promise I'm not under duress....)

On our unit, we ask our patients to move their bodies as much as possible as they undergo cell therapies and bone marrow transplantation. Anecdotal and empirical evidence show again and again that physical activity is key for recovery. The very least I can do is participate in moving my own body by taking "Strides for Strength!"

Every single day, I have the great fortune to work with people who show mental and physical strength that far exceeds my own. Patients make enormous sacrifices for a chance at recovery. I wish I could share every single story of resilience that I've witnessed at work.

So, in my earnest attempt to give back- I want to appeal to my friends and loved ones to help me raise money for Huntsman Cancer- an organization that goes to great lengths to provide treatment and support for these incredibly strong bone marrow transplant/cell therapy patients in their time of need.
