Let's Show Cancer Who's Boss!

 When my mom got her cancer diagnosis, I was scared and cried a lot. You hear the words Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and automatically think it’s the end. It also didn’t help that I was in a pathology class with an outdated textbook that talked about CLL and it mentioned that those with CLL only live 2-3 years after diagnosis/symptoms showing up. Thankfully, because of Huntsman and other research hospitals, that information is no longer accurate. This is my WHY, why I’m so passionate about donating to Huntsman. I went from being basically panicked thinking I was going to lose my mom to knowing she’s going to be around for a while.

I have signed up for the Huntsman SportsFest with the goal of raising funds for Huntsman Cancer Institute. This year, it is anticipated that over 2 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed in the United States. By fundraising and participating in this event, we can, with your support, make a significant impact toward our shared vision of a future free from cancer.

Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah is a nationally recognized research center and treatment hospital in Salt Lake City. We serve patients with all types of cancer, who come from throughout the Mountain West, including Utah and parts of Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming.
