10 YEARS!  10 Years Since Finishing Chemo -- 11 Years Since Diagnosis

The day of diagnosis was the day that the world changed for me and my family.  It's the day that I learned that I'm going to die.  And I've lived differently ever since.  And every year that I can, I raise money to fight this terrible disease - a disease that I wasn't supposed to survive - Late Stage Ovarian Cancer.  Too many families have been impacted by cancer.  We've lost too many people.  I was one of the lucky ones who got amazing care from the Huntsman Hopsital. And I proudly wear the title of Cancer Survivor.

Thank you everyone who has donated in the past.  I usually set a ridiculously low bar for my fundraising so I can beat it every year.  Thanks to many of you, we blow past it every year.  These year, for my 11 year anniversary, I'm setting a high bar of $100,000.  I hope we hit it.  If we don't, it's still money that will make a difference for people diagnosed with cancer.  100% of the donations go directly to programs.

No donation is too small.  If everyone just does a little, it always adds up to a lot.  I'm so glad I still get to be here.  Thank you everyone for making my life so great.

We can end cancer — together. Will you make a donation to help support my fundraising goal today?

Huntsman Cancer Institute

Huntsman Cancer Institute's (HCI) mission is to understand cancer from its beginnings, to use that knowledge in the creation and improvement of cancer treatments, to relieve the suffering of cancer patients, and to provide education about cancer risk, prevention, and care.

HCI is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Mountain West, serving Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming, the largest geographic region of any center.

More genes for inherited cancers have been discovered at HCI than at any other cancer center in the world. These include genes responsible for hereditary breast, ovarian, colon, head and neck cancers, and melanoma. HCI has 237 research teams studying all aspects of cancer.
