Special Thanks To
Huntsman Cancer Institute and Foundation
Huntsman Cancer Institute has always set itself apart by championing researchers with groundbreaking ideas that lead to lifesaving discoveries. The research happening today brings hope for a brighter, healthier tomorrow.
You can be a beacon of that hope. By fundraising for Huntsman Cancer Institute through Huntsman Cancer Foundation, you let patients know they’re not alone. You show them that people—sometimes complete strangers—care deeply about their well-being and are committed to making their lives better.
100% of funds raised support the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute to understand cancer from its beginnings, to use that knowledge in the creation and improvement of cancer treatments, to relieve the suffering of cancer patients, and to provide education about cancer risk, prevention, and care.
Let’s end cancer together.
About Huntsman Cancer Foundation
Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF) was founded by the Jon and Karen Huntsman family in 1995. HCF’s singular mission is to guarantee the future of cutting-edge research at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Thanks to the support of our community of donors and fundraisers, advancements at Huntsman Cancer Institute pave the way for new clinical trials, safer and more effective treatments, and hope for an end to cancer.
By funding efforts to understand the beginnings of cancer better and more effectively treat cancer, you help relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors, and their families.
Welcome to our SportsFest fundraising page!
We’re proud to support Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest and help raise funds for Huntsman Cancer Institute. The Buckley Lab is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with blood cancers through innovative cancer research, and our team will be running the 5K together in support of this mission.
Our research focuses on understanding how blood cancers develop and finding new ways to treat them. We study the cellular systems that control how proteins function and how disruptions in these systems can lead to diseases like leukemia and lymphoma. Using advanced laboratory models and patient samples, we work to develop targeted therapies that can stop cancer cells while protecting healthy cells.
