Event Day Packet Pickup - Saturday, June 13
CYCLISTS: Event day packet pickup will begin at 5 am at the starting line located at Fort Douglas Field and in Salem. Cycling participants beginning in Salem are encouraged to pick up their packets on Friday at early Packet Pickup being held at the Fort Douglas Field at the University of Utah. However, cyclists starting in Salem will be able to pick up their packets early Saturday morning beginning at 5 am at Salem Hills High School if needed.
RUNNERS/WALKERS: Event day packet pickup will begin at 7 am at Fort Douglas Field near the start/finish line.
*** Event day packet pickup for runners/walkers is often very busy, so please give yourself enough time prior to the start times to park, take the shuttle to the field, get checked-in and ready to go!
Pick up your event bib number, t-shirt, packet, and any fundraising incentives* either at the early packet pick up on Friday, June 12 at Fort Douglas Field or at both start lines on event day.
* If you earned a cycling jersey for fundraising $500: We try our best to have a jersey at packet pick-up for everyone who earned it. Because we place our jersey order many weeks ahead of the event, this can be tricky. We are only able to guarantee jersey sizes for those who reached their minimum fundraising goal ($500) by March 27. Size exchanges may be limited due to low stock on hand. Individuals who earn their jersey after this date will receive it in the mail after the event.
What To Expect at Packet Pickup
CYCLISTS: This year, all waivers, including those for UDOT and USA Cycling, were signed online during registration. Participants aged 18 and over will not need to sign these waivers in person at Packet Pickup. However, minors under 18 must sign all waivers onsite. Printed copies of the waivers will be available for minors at packet pickup. Waivers can be found below.
Cycling Waivers:
Huntsman SportsFest Waiver - MINORS (per University of Utah compliance, all minors 2 - 18 years old must sign their own waivers)
USA Cycling Waiver
UDOT Waiver
RUNNERS/WALKERS: Event waivers were signed upon registration. If you registered a minor for an event, per University of Utah compliance, they must sign their own physical waiver, which can be printed, signed, and brought to check-in, or completed at Packet Pickup. Waivers can be found below.
Run/Walk Waivers:
Huntsman SportsFest Waiver - ADULT (if registered through the family registration option, all those besides the main registrant will need to sign a waiver)
Huntsman SportsFest Waiver - MINORS (per University of Utah compliance, all minors 2 - 18 years old must sign their own waivers)
Huntsman SportsFest Waiver - FAMILY (use this if more than one person needs to sign the waiver in your party)
Picking Up for Someone Else?
You will need a photo of their driver’s license (a cell phone photo works), a note authorizing you to pick up their packet if they are not immediate family, and their signed, printed waivers.
Parking & Shuttles
In order to arrive at Fort Douglas Field on time, we recommend participants choose from the following options for parking:
CYCLIST PARKING: With cyclists arriving early, there will be parking around the start/finish line, in student lots, and at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Institute at the University of Utah. All campus lots are open on Saturday, but if vehicles are parked illegally (i.e. in red zones or in handicap spots without proper credentials) they will be ticketed.
RUNNER/WALKER PARKING: Parking is available at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Institute at the University of Utah, with shuttle service directly to the start/finish line from 7:00 am - 11:30 am. Both parking in that specific lot and use of the shuttle are free, but vehicles will be ticketed if illegally parked in other locations.
QUEST PARKING: With quest participants arriving later in the day, there will be parking around the start/finish line and in student lots. You will also have the option to park at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Institute at the University of Utah; however, the event shuttle service will end at 11:30 am, and you will need to walk up to the field. All campus lots are open on Saturday, but if vehicles are parked illegally (i.e. in red zones or in handicap spots without proper credentials) they will be ticketed.
