It’s time to end cancer together.
In 2017, Huntsman Cancer Foundation brought together the iconic Huntsman 140 cycling ride and the community-centered Huntsman 5K and Kids Fun K to create a single, powerful day of impact: Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest. SportsFest brings people together around a shared purpose to drive meaningful progress against cancer.
SportsFest is for everyone. Whether you’re honoring someone you love, supporting those still in the fight, or simply showing up because this purpose matters, there’s a place for you here. 100% of every dollar raised fuels the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute. Participants can also direct their fundraising toward a specific type of cancer that has touched their lives.
Together, we show up. Together, we move forward. Together, we end cancer. 💛
Event Details
What: A charitable community event offering a variety of ways to participate, all in support of the mission and work of Huntsman Cancer Institute
When: Saturday, June 13, 2026
Where: All day-of activities are held at and/or start or finish at Fort Douglas Field on the University of Utah campus

5K, 10K Trail, and Kids Fun K

Ride
Distances range from 16 miles to 140 miles, including out-and-back routes that begin at the University of Utah and point-to-point routes starting in Salem, Utah.

Quest
Join us for the quest, a team-based scavenger hunt, for SportsFest! This quest involves 2–5 individuals working together to accomplish various missions on Saturday, June 13. Find hidden bonus challenges from our sponsors, and take and share videos or photos of your team crushing each challenge while helping Huntsman Cancer Institute on its quest to cure cancer. Let the journey begin! Grab your friends, favorite siblings, or parents, and we’ll see you for the quest! For more information, please refer to the quest page.
Participate Virtually
Near or far, you can still be part of SportsFest. Join as a virtual participant and move in whatever way feels right to you. Walk your neighborhood, ride your bike, hit the gym, or do something entirely your own.
This option is perfect for friends and family who can’t join us in person on event day but still want to show up, fundraise, and make a meaningful impact. However you participate, you’re helping drive progress against cancer and reminding our community that we truly end cancer together.

Register as an individual, family, or team online! Online registration closes on Sunday, June 7, at midnight. On-site registration will be available at packet pickup on Friday, June 12, at Fort Douglas Field. There will be no on-site registration on event day.
* Only participants who register online by Sunday, June 8, will receive an event t-shirt. Participants who register on site during packet pickup on Friday, June 12, will not receive an event t-shirt.
Celebrate your achievement with everyone at the Finish Line Festival with food, drinks, fun music, giveaways from sponsors, games, and a kids’ zone play area. Join as an individual, a family, or a team on June 13 and support a day to end cancer together.
