Join us for the quest, a team-based scavenger hunt, at Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest! This quest involves 2–5 individuals working together to accomplish various missions on Saturday, June 13. Find hidden bonus challenges from our sponsors, and take and share videos or photos of your team crushing each challenge while helping Huntsman Cancer Institute on its quest to cure cancer. Let the journey begin! Grab your friends, favorite siblings, or parents, and we’ll see you for the quest!

How to Join the Quest

  1. Pick your team of 2-5 people
  2. Register at www.HuntsmanSportsFest.com
    *Every participant on your team, including minors/kids, must register on the Huntsman SportsFest website.
  3. Download the Goosechase scavenger hunt app for your Apple or Android mobile device. Goosechase will host your challenges and points.
  4. Create a Goosechase account
  5. Get your teammates to register on the Huntsman SportsFest website by May 30
  6. Have your team join you on Goosechase
    *Not every teammate will need to download the app. You can have one or multiple phones on event day.
  7. Update your profile
  8. Enter the Huntsman SportsQuest access code on Goosechase
    *The access code will be sent out via email after May 30

Mission release dates:
Monday, June 8 through Saturday, June 13
We’ll release practice missions designed to help you get ready. They are also a way to get bonus points toward the main event, which begins on Saturday, June 13, at 7 am.

  • 7 am: Missions released

  • 3 pm: QUEST COMPLETE! All teams will need to check in at the SportsQuest desk at the Huntsman SportsFest Finish Line Festival.

  • 3:30 pm: Awards and drawings for top QUEST-ers at the Finish Line Festival

REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

Are the walk, run, and ride events a race?

Nope! They are non-competitive and not timed. Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest is an event designed to bring runners, cyclists, and participants of all levels together to raise money to fuel the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute. Together, we celebrate, remember, and get closer to a world without cancer.

How much does it cost to participate, and when does registration close?

Walk & Run registration fees (includes event t-shirt):
Kids Fun K (ages 1-12): $12
1K Stroll, 5K, and 10K Trail: $35

Ride registration fees (includes event t-shirt):
58, 80, 100, and 140 miles: $75 before April 1
22 miles: $35 
*All ride distances, except 22 miles, will have price increases on April 1 and June 1.

Quest registration fees (includes event t-shirt):
Kids (ages 1-12): $12
Adults: $35

Onsite registration at packet pickup on Friday, June 12 (no onsite registration on event day):
Kids Fun K: $15
1K Stroll, 5K, and 10K Trail: $40
Ride: 58, 80, 100, and 140 miles: $140 | 16 miles: $40

Kids: $15
Adults: $40

* Cyclists who change to a shorter distance after registration will not receive a refund for the cost difference.

Online registration closes on Sunday, June 7, at midnight. Onsite registration will be available at packet pickup on Friday, June 12, at Fort Douglas Field. There will be no onsite registration on event day. 
* Only participants who register online by Sunday, June 8, will receive an event t-shirt. Participants who register on site during packet pickup on Friday, June 12 will not receive an event t-shirt.
