About Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a leader in the study of cancer genetics and its researchers have discovered more inherited cancer genes than any other cancer center in the world. Genes responsible for breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma were identified here.
All cancer treatments used today began with research. Learn more about research taking place at HCI by visiting huntsmancancer.org.
The Generation to End Cancer™
Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for visiting our fundraising page for the Huntsman Challenge. We are excited to join thousands of college students uniting to be The Generation to End Cancer™ by supporting the lifesaving work at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
We are the generation to end cancer. At Sigma Chi, this is our battle cry. Thousands of Sigma Chi's across the country have stepped up to fund cancer research. After raising $11M to fuel research in 2020, fulfilling the largest philanthropic commitment in the history of men's fraternities, Sigma Chi has raised the bar, pledging $20M dedicated to womens’ cancer research, treatment, and wellness at HCI.
We are Sigma Chi. We are the generation to end cancer.
The Huntsman Cancer Foundation was founded in 1995 by Jon and Karen Huntsman to ensure cutting-edge research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Utah. The sole purpose of HCF is to raise funds to support the efforts at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. 100% of all donations go directly to funding cancer research. One in two men and one in three women will get cancer in their lifetime.
In 2021 alone, Sigma Chi contributed more than $2.3 Million. With the combined support of our greek community, we have a unique opportunity to make a real world difference and relieve suffering of cancer patients. Here at Sigma Chi Theta Beta, we are challenging ourselves and you to help us push this worthy cause to new heights. Together, we have broken our chapters’ fundraising record for 2 years in a row, contributing $46,000 in 2022 and $55,000 in 2023. This year, we are challenging YOU to help us once again reach new heights with a fundraising goal of $50,000. The men of the Theta Beta Chapter of Sigma Chi would like to carry on the philanthropic tradition of Derby Days and formally invite you to join us in the fight to find a cure.
