Help Us Become The Generation to End Cancer™!
This year, I’m proud to participate in Sigma Chi’s annual philanthropy, Derby Days, which raises money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute and cancer research. Our chapter has set a goal of raising $150,000, and I’m asking for your support in helping us reach it.
This fundraiser is especially meaningful to me because I’m raising money in honor of my Aunt Katie and Uncle Kevin. Many of you know the difficult journey they faced together, with both battling cancer at the same time. Through it all, Katie remained the person we all knew her to be—selfless, compassionate, and always making everyone around her feel loved and valued. She never wanted her struggles to become anyone else’s burden, and she continued to put others first even while facing her own battle.
I’m proud to honor my aunt Katie and uncle Kevin by supporting cancer research and helping give other families hope during their own battles. Every donation, regardless of size, makes a difference and helps our chapter get closer to our goal.
We were incredibly fortunate to have my aunt Katie in our lives, and while we wish more than anything that she could still be with us, her love and kindness continue to live on in our family and in everyone she touched. We are also deeply grateful that uncle Kevin was able to come through his own battle, and we continue to carry both of them in our hearts.
If you knew Katie, you know how much she gave to the people around her. I hope this fundraiser can be one small way of carrying her legacy of love, compassion, and helping others forward.
Thank you for your support and for helping me honor my aunt Katie and uncle Kevin.
