As many of you know this is the time of year we would be reaching out for support of Caidan’s Crew Beyond T1D walk team. But this year, in honor and support of a dear family friend, Caidan’s Crew has joined with Huntsman Cancer Institute and my fraternity, Sigma Chi.  It was over a year ago we got the devastating news of our dear friend’s diagnosis: stage 4 brain cancer.  A single empty nest mom, she had barely started treatment when she was diagnosed with lung lesions.  I know all too well how confusing, scary and upending a life altering diagnosis can be for a family.  I doubt any of us have not had someone we know affected by cancer.

Caidan’s Crew will continue to support our work with T1D but today we pause and ask for your help.  Our goal is to raise $3,000 over the next two months.  What ever you can give would be deeply appreciated.  I know you get asked for a lot of things and I as I get older I realize how much work there is to be done in so many areas.  So from the bottom of my and our family’s heart - thank you for whatever you can give to help us reach our goal.  Please pray for endurance, perseverance and hope for her “fight”.  Be grateful for your precious time together and hug everyone a little longer today.
