Welcome to my Huntsman SportsFest Fundraising Page!
I signed up for Huntsman SportsFest to raise money for Huntsman Cancer Institute, specifically the mutiple myeloma and amyloidosis programs. I have worked as a medical assistant in the multiple myeloma clinic at Huntsman since May 2023. In that time, I've not only learned about myeloma and its treatments, but I've had the opportunity to get to know some of our patients and their families. Funding from SportsFest will benefit research projects to fight multiple myeloma, giving our patients access to innovative care.
This year, 1.9 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the United States, with about 34,000 new cases of multiple myeloma being diagnosed. While multiple myeloma is an incurable cancer of the bone marrow plasma cellls, through fundraising and participating in this event, and with your support, we can make a difference in improving care for our patietns and in our shared goal of a cancer-free future.
By funding efforts to better understand the beginnings of cancer and more effectively treat cancer, you help relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors, and their families when you give.
Every step and every dollar makes a difference. With 100% of every donation going to fuel groundbreaking cancer research for children and adults, you can be a reason to hope for current patients, families, and future generations to come.
Together, we will help create a future free of cancer. Will you make a donation to help support my fundraising goal today?
