Cancer really hit home when in my freshman year of college my own mother was diagnosed and it became a flip in my life where the person who had always taken care of me I suddenly was there for her alot more even as my own life shifted. It gave me a broader perspective and deeper understanding not to be inconsiderate to people I don't know because you never know what their story is.
