The Generation to End Cancer™
I am a freshman engineering student and a proud pledge of Sigma Chi at Boston University, originally from New York City, raising funds for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation to support life-saving research and families affected by cancer. As a young student navigating college life, I’ve come to deeply value community, resilience, and the power of giving back—especially to causes that touch so many lives.
A Personal CommitmentBeing part of Sigma Chi means embracing service and brotherhood, and supporting the Huntsman Cancer Foundation is one of the most meaningful ways we fulfill that mission. Although I’m still early in my college journey, I’ve already seen how quickly life can change—how a diagnosis can uproot families, including those I care about. This cause is personal, even if cancer hasn’t directly impacted me yet; I believe in acting now to support those who are fighting and to prevent future pain.
Why This MattersSigma Chi’s partnership with Huntsman reflects our values of compassion and action. Every dollar raised through my personal page contributes to groundbreaking research, patient care, and hope for millions. As an engineering student from New York City, I’m used to solving problems and building solutions—and this is one challenge I’m determined to help overcome. Your support means the world, not just to me, but to everyone impacted by this disease.
About Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a leader in the study of cancer genetics and its researchers have discovered more inherited cancer genes than any other cancer center in the world. Genes responsible for breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma were identified here.
All cancer treatments used today began with research. Learn more about research taking place at HCI by visiting huntsmancancer.org.
