Sigma Chi's 2025-26 Sorority Fundraisers

Sorority partners are at the heart of Derby Days and they have raised $ so far this year!
Each year, sorority chapters across North America team up with Sigma Chi to fundraise in support of Huntsman Cancer Institute—one of the world’s leading cancer research and treatment centers. Sorority partners show up with purpose, passion, and an unwavering commitment to something bigger than themselves. They inspire their chapters to fundraise boldly, create moments that move people, and spread Huntsman Cancer Institute’s lifesaving mission to every corner of their communities.
But Derby Days is more than just a friendly competition or a Greek life tradition. It’s one of the largest collegiate fundraising efforts in the country and beyond, and sorority involvement is crucial to its success each year. Every conversation, event, and effort constructed through Derby Days brings a new reason for hope in the fight against cancer.
In recognition of the extraordinary impact our sorority partners have on the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute, a dedicated portion of The Kathryn F. Kirk Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care and Women’s Cancers displays plaques with each year’s top fundraising sorority chapters and the current Sigma Chi International Sweetheart. Opened in 2023, The Kathryn F. Kirk Center is an addition to the original hospital made possible, in part, by Sigma Chi’s $20 million pledge dedicated to women’s cancer research, treatment, and wellness. The plaques sit at the entrance to the Sigma Chi International Fraternity Bridge of Hope, a named space on the center's first floor that connects the two hospital buildings together.
Next to the sorority plaques is a lasting reminder of the woman whose experience with cancer ignited Jon M. Huntsman Sr.’s goal to eradicate the disease—his mother, Kathleen Robison Huntsman. Her legacy lives on through the steadfast commitment of Sigma Chi, sorority partners, and family and friends joining the cause across the world.
