About Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a leader in the study of cancer genetics and its researchers have discovered more inherited cancer genes than any other cancer center in the world. Genes responsible for breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma were identified here.
All cancer treatments used today began with research. Learn more about research taking place at HCI by visiting huntsmancancer.org.
Help Me Support Cancer Research & Honor a Legacy
Hi everyone! My name is Brooklynn Bruner, and I’m so excited to be participating in Sigma Chi Derby Days at Baylor University as a Derby Darling.
This cause is incredibly meaningful to me, not only because it supports cancer awareness and research, but also because it connects to a really personal part of my life. My dad was a Sigma Chi here at Baylor, and he passed away two years ago. Being apart of this event feels like a way to honor him and carry on something that meant so much to him.
Cancer affects so many families, and I’ve seen firsthand how deeply loss can impact the people left behind. That’s why raising money for this philanthropy means more than just participating in an event, it’s about making a real difference, supporting research, and giving hope to others who are going through something similar.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean the world to me! Every contribution goes toward helping fight cancer and supporting those impacted by it. Thank you so much for your love, support, and generosity! It truly does not go unnoticed!
