My Sigma Chi Page
Hey guys! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page to help me and my pledge class raise money for women’s cancer research, treatment, and wellness at Huntsman Cancer Institute. I am super stoked to join in thousands of Sigma Chi’s across North America, all uniting together to be “The Generation to End Cancer,” by supporting the life-saving work of researchers at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
This cause weighs heavy on my heart, specifically because of people I've lost due to cancer. My godfather, Zio Kevin, was initially diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma during his senior year of high school and went through radiation and chemotherapy through his freshman year at UCLA. My Zio lived an incredible life after recovering, having two children, and a successful business career. Still, unfortunately, in his late 40s, cancer came back, and after a couple of years of fighting, it ultimately took his life on July 14, 2014.
Cancer has affected us all, and I am making the commitment to bring hope to patients and their families by fundraising and doing my part to help eradicate cancer from the earth.
Please consider helping me reach our goal by donating to this page – 100% of every donation is being used to fund cancer research at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Because of you others can continue to have hope in their fight against cancer
About Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a leader in the study of cancer genetics and its researchers have discovered more inherited cancer genes than any other cancer center in the world. Genes responsible for breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma were identified here.
All cancer treatments used today began with research. Learn more about research taking place at HCI by visiting huntsmancancer.org.
