Research To Recovery
Where strength meets hope, healing begins
Where strength meets hope, healing begins
Cancer has touched my life in a deeply personal way through my grandmother. She was diagnosed with cancer twice. Watching someone you love go through that kind of fight changes you—it stays with you. Even through her hardest days, she showed strength, faith, and resilience, and I will always carry that with me.
We lost her recently, and while that loss has been difficult, it has also given me a clearer understanding of why cancer research matters so much. Behind every diagnosis is a family, a story, and a life that matters. Progress in research doesn’t just mean new treatments—it means more time, more hope, and more moments that families like mine wish they had.
I’m asking for your support in helping fund cancer research so that fewer families have to go through what mine did. Any donation, no matter the size, contributes to advancing science and moving us closer to better outcomes and, one day, a cure. Thank you for reading, and for considering being part of something that truly makes a difference.
About Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a leader in the study of cancer genetics and its researchers have discovered more inherited cancer genes than any other cancer center in the world. Genes responsible for breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma were identified here.
All cancer treatments used today began with research. Learn more about research taking place at HCI by visiting huntsmancancer.org.
