The Generation to End Cancer
The Generation to End Cancer
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page for the Huntsman Challenge! We are excited to join thousands of college students from other universities to be The Generation to End Cancer by supporting the lifesaving work at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
At the beginning of the week at the White Rose Ceremony we share how cancer has affected the lives of our loved ones. I shared my story about my late Uncle Eric with my brothers and participating sorority members. Many others also shared their stories of their loved ones. It serves as our "why" and reminds us that their is always a community of support. This is why we are so passionate about our philanthropy.
The Sigma Chi Zeta Lambda chapter at Kent State has kicked off their philanthropy week called "Derby Days". During the week we join a sorority to be a "coach" for the ladies so they know what to expect and to get people involved in this cause. During the week we put on events for participating sororities and fraternities, were the funds raised go to Cancer Research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah! We want to be the Generation to End Cancer by supporting the lifesaving work at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Last year we raised over $44,000 dollars (Thanks to you!) This year we our goal is to hit 50k!

About Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a leader in the study of cancer genetics and its researchers have discovered more inherited cancer genes than any other cancer center in the world. Genes responsible for breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma were identified here.
All cancer treatments used today began with research. Learn more about research taking place at HCI by visiting huntsmancancer.org.
