The Generation to End Cancer
The Generation to End Cancer
I lost my father when I was only 14. He passed to a form of cancer that had such little research done on it that that his two option was a surgery with a 30% survivabilty rate, or just letting it be. One of the hardest things I've ever had to witness in my formative years was watching my dad make that choice. I had to become my fathers primary caregiver when I was only 13, becoming numb to situations others may find traumatic.
There are millions of others with a similar story, but with your help we can hope to limit those who go through it. No kid should go through life without a dad, mom, coach, teacher, or loved one due to cancer. Everyone has a story that ends in cancer. It could even be yours some day. So if your not doing it for the people who have already passed, do it for your future self. Do it for your mom. Do it for your Dad. Do it for the person sitting next to you.
Help us to become The Generation to End Cancer with any possible donation. Do it for you.
About Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a leader in the study of cancer genetics and its researchers have discovered more inherited cancer genes than any other cancer center in the world. Genes responsible for breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma were identified here.
All cancer treatments used today began with research. Learn more about research taking place at HCI by visiting huntsmancancer.org.
